M100 Young European Journalists Workshop
M100 Young European Journalist, the City of Potsdam and Potsdam Media International e.V., with the support of the Federal Foreign Office and the ZEIT-Stiftung, offer young journalists the opportunity to gain direct access to leading media personalities from all over Europe including non-EU countries.
The workshop taking place between 10-19 September 2018 in Potsdam and Berlin, Germany, is directed at a young generation of journalists and editors between the ages of 18 of 26 from Europe, the countries of the Eastern Partnership (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Georgia) and Russia. The participants will participate in workshops focusing on the theme “Journalism & Political Education in the Social Web”.
Who can apply
Young journalists between 18 and 26 years old from Europe, the countries of the Eastern Partnership (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Georgia) and Russia, can apply with a short text in English (max. 6.000 characters, including spaces) on the following task:
– Shortly define the term “political education work in the social web”. Describe the possibilities and limitations of political education in their countries using a concrete case (they can implement their own professional experience in the text) and present some of ytheir own ideas for a political education project that they consider relevant.
– Include a brief CV and motivational statement in the application stating the reasons for applying to this particular workshop.The workshop will be held in English.
Selected participants will be invited to a Skype interview. Costs for accommodation, transportation and meals will be covered by the organisers.
