ECOLAB

The pandemic showed new ways of working styles and created new challenges. We are gathering professionals from many different areas and fields to discuss how the future’s sustainable life can look like.

AI (artificial intelligence) is getting more and more space and authority and many currently needed jobs will be unnecessary in the next few years. Future work trends show that emphasis will be on the skill of learning to learn, cooperation, problem solving. Future jobs will require skills what we are already using unconsciously and now is the time to use it with awareness.
We created a project where we not only share ideas and best practices but we visualize and simulate future professions, businesses with the focus on social impact – especially sustainable solutions. We simulate how to start up a business, we create a learning opportunity to experience what is needed in the 21st century to create a social enterprise with impact.

Ecolab’  is aTraining Course in which we are partners from 7 countries: Portugal, Greece, Italy, Spain, Poland, the Netherlands and Hungary. The program creates a platform for all professionals from the youth field to see what is the current situation, what are the challenges what we have to face, as a business owner, startupper, employer or someone just about to decide what they want to do in the future. They will also practice how they can design their own educational materials and how they can use different tools in their work with youngsters.

The main method we use is creative recycling which is a method based on creativitiy, cooperation and crafting. We use creativity and upcycling as a tool to develop various skills. We mix creative recycling with various other non formal educational methods where we focus on learning to learn, creativity, soft skills development, design thinking and digital competences.

Some of the main program elements:

  • skill development workshops
  • simulation
  • improvement of key competences and ETS competences
  • sharing of best practices
  • outdoor activities
  • living library
  • desinging educational materials
  • practicing facilitation

Participation is open for people who are over 18 years old, coming from Portugal, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands and Spain. We are looking for people who are open to learn new methods and tools how they can support young people they are working with in their employement – and for that they are ready to develop their own skills as well!
We hope to work with people who are interested in future work trends and would like to immerse in the topic of sustainability, new ideas of employment and who would like to learn about entrepreneurship and what future sustainable work places could be like.
