Shake your emotions

Shake Your Emotions is a fresh, new and useful panorama on how to deal with emotions that influence our behavior as youth workers. Looking for participants from : Spain, Italy, Greece, Latvia, Romania, Cyprus.

“Shake” is a reference to the need of movement inside our own selves so as to change stabilised patterns and boost our emotional management skills.

Our proposal is a training course that will lead into an introspective growth, starting by the understanding and the exploring around the concept of emotion. And then progressively developing a base from which to start a transformation towards a more beneficial perception and dealing of all surrounding emotions and feelings, practicing tools for specific situations.

1. We will analyse the concept of emotion, through a process of deepening in this idea marked by group dynamics such as identifying others´ emotions, putting ourselves in others positions with took up role-play activities. The main idea is to start one introspective trip that will clarify our emotional situation; with this purpose we will develop the formation following a line of analytic exercises like questioning our daily emotional behaviours.

2. The knowledge and conclusions acquired in the first part will be used for the practical application: how emotions affect our work with young people? How to develop techniques and instruments to manage inter-personal relations? Identifying emotions: hatred, sadness, fear as the key to understand social exclusion.

3. The last part of our course will be the application of this analyse to a bigger angle: society. Particularly, we will focus on the construction of the speech of hate and how to handle these situations, potentiating the feeling of inclusion and identification with European values.

Note: For the selection procedure, please be aware that the application form is a first step to collect basic information about the candidates who are willing to participante. We will contact you to fill in a more detailed application form for the final selection process.
