Employability Ambassadors

Employability Ambassadors aims to equip participants with a set of tools to effectively foster employability within their local communities. Thus, informative resources will be provided and social competences developed throughout the activity.

The main aim of the training course is to provide a set of tools that will allow participants to effectively foster the employability of their target groups within their local communities. In order to do so, ambassadors will improve their competences in three main areas:

A. COMPETENCES FOR MENTORING. This block tackles with the competences required to effectively offer guidance and assessment to young people in the search for a job or in the development of their business project. Social competences, as effective communication or learning facilitation, will be the backbone of this group of sessions.
– Facilitating Learning and Results:
o Creating Awareness.
o Designing Actions.
o Planning and Goal Setting.
o Managing Progress and Accountability
o Fundamentals of Coaching (discovering motivations, exploring personal and professional pathway)
– Effective Communication:

B. COMPETENCES FOR EMPLOYABILITY: The second block of sessions explores the competences that enhance the employabilitiy of young people:

C. RESOURCES FOR EMPLOYABILITY: The sessions belonging to this group provide a complete set of current work, educational and volunteering opportunities at European and worldwide level. By the end of the training course, participants will be able to effectively convey a broad set of opportunities to their target groups, breaking the lack of training – lack of work experience downward spiral.

o Internships & Stages
o Volunteering
o Employment
o Entrepreneurship
o Non-formal education. Short-term training & mobility activities

Out of the three main blocks there are more sessions scheduled in the training course. They provide the required framework to develop an effective learning space.

A. COMMON SESSIONS: These sessions deal with aspects like improving participants capabilities for team work, presentation of participants, closing of the event, networking, etc.
B. LEARNING PROCESS: These activities aim to analyze, reinforce and evaluate the learning process experiented by the particiipants throughout the course: Reflection groups, learning evaluation – Youthpass, etc.

The intercultural dimension of the project will be given by the different nationalities involved in the project and by the high degree of interaction among them the participants. Sessions like the Intercultural night will be an addittional effort to streghen this cooperation.
