Non-competitive activities for inclusion

The topic of the training course is ‘Non-competitive activities for inclusion’. We will have a look at 4 activities that are non-competitive: Circus, Dance, Cooperative Games and Outdoor Activities.

This training course for youth workers is part of the KA2 project ‘Non-Competitive activities for inclusion’ (https://noncompetitiveactivities.wordpress.com/).  It is hosted by Association CIK/Cirkus La Bulle (SLO) in Brežice Slovenia, from the 22.01 to the 29.01.2024. It includes 12 participants and 5 team members from 4 countries (Slovenia, France, Spain and Croatia).

During the 8-day (including travel) learning, teaching and training activity, we will have a look at 4 activities that are non-competitive: Circus, Dance, Cooperative Games and Outdoor Activities. We will examine their potential for education and inclusion of young people and learn basic techniques to use those activities with youth.

The objectives of the project are:

  • To share good practices in order to increase awareness about non-competitive activities as a tool of youth work
  • To develop activities that are accessible to youngsters with fewer opportunities (youth workers learn new methods, learn how they foster the inclusion of youngsters with fewer opportunities and learn how to use them to develop personal and social skills of young people)
  • To promote and disseminate the use of non-competitive activities that are attractive and inclusive of all.

At the end of the training course, all the participants will be equipped with knowledge how to prepare and implement basic non-competitive activities for youth.

Participants will contribute to the creation of a pedagogical manual.
