  • Accommodation and food

Hellenic National Agency will organise the accommodation and cover the costs for accommodation and food.

  • Travel reimbursement

Environmental Sustainability in Microcommunities

Are you active in the field of permaculture design and eco-community living?

Are you implementing non-formal and volunteering activities focused on the topics of environmental awareness and green transition?

Would you like to inspire, as youth workers, more young people to be aware towards sustainability and permaculture?

Have you been engaged or plan to be engaged in the European Solidarity Corps?

If the answer to all or some of the above questions is yes, then this activity perfectly fits to your needs.

What is the activity about?

Through this activity, the participants will enhance their knowledge about permaculture design, environmentally linked practices and eco-community development projects while at the same time they will explore the possibilities that the European Solidarity Corps Programme offers in these topics. The activity will also serve as a space for sharing good practices in ESC projects in the abovementioned topics and for collaborating in future green projects within the Programme.

What is the aim of the activity?

The overall goal of the activity is to empower youth workers to improve the social and professional access, participation and learning outcomes of young people who are interested in permaculture design and eco-living and to highlight the interrelation between the European Solidarity Corps and the above.

Which are the objectives of the activity?

This 4-days NET activity seeks to:

  • enable participants to better understand the European Solidarity Corps Programme and explore its possibilities in the fields of permaculture, eco-living and volunteerism
  • develop knowledge about environmentally linked practices, community development projects, eco-villages etc.
  • share best practices for management of local environmental communities
  • discover and exchange good practice projects in these fields within the European Solidarity Corps Programme
  • provide space for networking and creation of future partnerships

Who are invited to participate to the activity?

Youth workers, representatives of organisations working with projects based on environmental awareness, permaculture design, eco-community living and volunteering that either hold Quality Label or are interested in holding Quality Label are invited to participate in the activity in order to extend their knowledge and network and build on future projects.

18- 20/10/2022 – full working days
