You should enrol now onto the masterclass from the Fashion Production and Creative Enterprise (FPCE), which takes place this November. 

The New Designer’s Platform

The New Designer’s Platform is a project that helps adults develop the knowledge and skills that they need to advance through the global fashion industry. The New Designer’s Platform project aims to address the significant skills gaps in the European Fashion Industry by delivering a fashion business start-up education programme. The project is a collaboration between three European organisations from the UK, Portugal and Sweden.

The Fashion Production and Creative Enterprise Course

The Fashion Production and Creative Enterprise Course (FPCE) provides training in garment and textiles craft production and enterprise development to enable the learners to develop the skills needed for setting up a fashion and textiles related business.

The learners will undertake training on production, retail, marketing and circular economy brand planning. The course is divided into three levels and the first course unit Fashion Retail & Marketing FPCE101 has already been concluded. You can sign up for the second course unit, Circular Economy Brand Planning FPCE102.

The FPCE102 Masterclass

FPCE102 is the second course unit of the FPCE course and covers the topic of Circular Economy Brand Planning. The Masterclass will take place over three weeks on Wednesdays (25th November, 2nd December and 9th December 2020) from 1pm to 4:20pm CEST. In addition to the guided learning hours during the masterclass, learners are expected to commit additional hours to independent work to apply the knowledge and skills to their own fashion or textiles business or practice.

By participating in the FPCE102 masterclass, learners will explore the following three topics:

  1. Linear and Circular Economy. This topic will inspire learners to give waste a new life.
  2. Circular Economy and the Fashion System. This topic will cover the challenges and opportunities in the fashion industry and how to successfully lead your fashion journey.
  3. Benchmarking and Brand Planning. This topic will discuss how to create a circular economy brand.

Important Information about the FPCE102 Masterclass

Teaching methods- Blended learning
The masterclass will provide an introduction to the concept of Circular Economy Brand Planning and will be taught online. Learners will receive tutor support as part of the course and engage in experiential learning and a range of interactive activities. This will help cater to our learners’ preferred learning methods and make the course a stimulating experience for the learners.
