Express through Waves

“Express through Waves” is the training course, which has aim to teach youth workers digital (video creation) skills and to record video tutorials with methods supporting self expressions

Digital technology is transforming almost every aspect of our public, private or work life, thus for every individual – the worker, the learner, and the citizen – the natural consequence of technological innovation, question of obtaining new types of skills is necessary. When it comes to those who work with youth on daily basis, they need to adopt new ways to approach, interact and support young people, especially those who have fewer opportunities and “at a high risk” backgrounds and have difficulties to express them self.
Based on simple definition of self – expression, difficulties to express means, that young people cannot express their own personality, thoughts, feelings or ideas through artistic activities (such as painting, writing, dancing, etc.), thus they cannot be fully involved into society.

Main aim of the project:
To develop personal and professional competencies, which support self expression of youth workers and young people

Objectives of the project are:
• To develop digital competencies as tool for self-expression
• To share, exchange and create methods, which support self-expression
• To develop competencies of self-expression through cooking, language, music, dance and sport
• To create video tutorials and good practice guide for youth workers with methods supporting self expression
• To develop the participants’ capacity of writing high-quality Erasmus+ projects supporting self-expression

Training course is based on the sharing of the participant’s experiences and practices, in particular, we are going to records non formal methods that support self expression (music, food, language, dance, etc).

Methodology is consist of mix of formal learning and non-formal methods, such as – games, team-buildings, visual methods, competitions, theater, drama, role-plays, group work, peer to peer learning, discussion etc.
